Destination Discovery enters construction! Destination Discovery is a new children’s zoo at the Saint Louis Zoo. The general character of this 3 1/2-acre project is a combination of playful whimsy combined with biophilic mimicry ground firmly with an earthy rusticism. A wonderful range of experiences and activities are designed to provide guests, primarily focused on children aged 2-10 years, with close encounters with animals and their caretakers to engender empathy. Ultimately, teaching children how caring for animals and sharing space with the natural world creates a healthier place for all living things.
