Project Type
For this Campus Planning Study for the Myakka City Lemur Reserve, the Lemur Conservation Foundation (LCF) and CLR focused on habitat modifications, new habitats, a new clinic and quarantine building, and several other site and infrastructure projects. The team developed a preliminary program for the building and, based on that work, CLR created a building floor plan, a building section, and an artist’s birds-eye perspective illustration that can be used by LCF for fundraising and preliminary cost estimating.
The planning study provides LCF with a “road map” to follow for overall campus improvements and for supporters to understand future needs. The report looks at a five year design and implementation cycle with projects divided into three categories: infrastructure, animal support, and staff amenities. In addition to the key projects, the plan also addresses needs for ongoing overall maintenance that is critical for the upkeep of the site and buildings.
